Brits frustrated with Broadband services

January 29, 2016

According to a survey commissioned by O2 Broadband, 56% of those polled have lost their temper with their hardware.

Broadband user in Cardiff are the most prone to techno-rage, according to the survey, and customers in Bristol expressed most dissatisfaction with their broadband service.

Almost 25% of those surveyed said they planned to change to a different broadband provider in the next three to six months.

The main cause of frustration with broadband services was slow connection speed.

The findings support a 2015 report by price comparison Web site uSwitch, which found that almost four million broadband users were dissatisfied with the speed of their broadband connection.

O2 Broadband’s survey also identified poor customer service as a problem for 20% of respondents, who said they had significant difficulty in getting through to their provider.

The survey found that the most technologically adept broadband consumers live in Brighton, while customers in Sheffield are the most likely to require help in setting up and managing their services.

O2 Broadband’s survey was based on the responses of 1,500 broadband users across the UK.
